SARCC envisions a world community where recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges are viewed as public health issue.

Our Mission:

SARCC is a peer-to-peer operated Recovery Community Center dedicated to organizing and mobilizing peers in recovery, their families, friends, allies of the recovery movement, community organizations and networks that promote access to immediate treatment and the resources to long term recovery through peer-to-peer support services, education, the elimination of stigma and discrimination, the arts and to further the development of the rights and dignity of those in Recovery.

Thousands battling substance use disorder and/or mental health challenges have found guidance, support and community at the East Market Street Building in downtown Sandusky. The center provides Peer Recovery Supporters, daily 12-step meetings, Art programs, Yoga, National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) and multiple paths for Recovery all overseen by peers.
