Peer Support Certification

OhioPRO partners with peer organizations to create Peer eLicensing/Certification Technical Assistance Hubs.

Peer Technical Assistance Centers: providing technical & navigational assistance for professional peer recovery specialists. We specialize in helping you navigate initial peer certification, OhioLearn, E-licensing, renewal, continuing education and more!

In Ohio, individuals seeking Adult or Youth Peer Recovery Supporter certification or eligibility to supervise peer supporters must first complete the 16-hour Certified Peer Recovery Supporter Training Curriculum on Ohio Learn. This training is free and designed to be completed on a laptop or desktop computer; mobile devices are not supported.

Completion of this curriculum is a prerequisite for the DBH 40-hour Adult or Youth Peer Recovery Supporter Training.

Registration and Access

  • Create an OHID account (Ohio Health Information Database) if you do not already have one. Use a personal email address, not a work or school email Ohio.gov.
  • Log in to your OHID account and navigate to the App Store to access the Ohio Learn training modules Ohio.gov.
